When Google’s Panda update went live in Feburary 2011, most webmasters thought they were out of business. A lot of people commented on the WebmasterWorld.com forums that this update could be the end of SEO.
The end of SEO never happened, however these updates, which were largely based on quality content, ad displays, and user metrics, did change the industry. In this article, I want to explain a few things that a good wordpress design needs in 2010 to beat the panda.
Beating Panda with your WordPress Design.
First of all, I think Panda targets cheap, content sites that are made for the search engines. If I was developing a new site then I’d want to invest in a nice, unique theme that hasn’t been spluttered all over the internet on spammy content sites. You want to distinguishyour site to the search engines as much as possible so you don’t get caught in the Panda net with the other sites.
